My Story
Hello! I'm Lauren. I am a business owner from Hertfordshire. I started painting furniture in 2015 when I moved into our fourth family home. The house owners had lived there since it was built in the 1950s and left all the vintage furniture with the sale. I didn't realise how much it would spark my imagination.
When looking to repurpose the furniture I found myself buying paint from a fantastic local stockist who also helped me to transform some of the pieces, I felt totally inspired.
Due to raising a family I hung up my brushes for a while, after painting a few pieces for myself my mess was too much for me to cope with and with nowhere to really paint I decided to stop - creativity is never tidy, or so I have been told!
In 2020 a Facebook post brought me back, I joined a group of talented painters and my creative side was let loose again and I haven't looked back. I am surrounded by a wonderful group of Artists who paint all different styles, from all over the world and this has once again inspired me to create furniture in my style.
I like to think I am doing my bit for the environment, but I also get to work with such characterful pieces of furniture, it's win win.
